The Andhra Pradesh Road Development Corporation was established on 02.01.1998 through
the Act No. 1 of 1998 for development and maintenance of Roads in the State of Andhra
Pradesh and matters connected there with or incidental there to.
Functions of the Corporation:
To develop, maintain and manage the roads and any stretches thereof vested in or
entrusted to it by the Government Corporation shall be bound to follow and act upon
the general or special directions of the Government.
Administration:
The Corporation is headed by a Managing Director. Presently the Chief Engineer (R&B)
State Highways is the Managing Director. He is assisted by two Superintending Engineers(R&B),
two Executive Engineers and other Engineers.
Jurisdiction:
The Chief Engineer(R&B) State Highways and Managing Director, APRDC looks after
the State Highways of Andhra Pradesh which comprises of high traffic density corridors
presently the length of the State Highways in AP is 13500Km.
